Does Lebsloop charge VAT?

Not today. Lebsloop is not VAT-registered yet, so no VAT is added or shown anywhere — your checkout total is the seller's price, the buyer-protection fee, and the delivery fee, with no VAT line.

UAE VAT (5%) only becomes due once a business crosses the FTA registration threshold (AED 375,000 in annual taxable supplies). When Lebsloop registers, VAT will apply only to our buyer-protection fee — never to the seller's price, since we're the agent, not the seller — and prices will be shown VAT-inclusive as the law requires.

Separately, if you're a seller whose own cumulative annual earnings approach AED 375,000, you may need to register for VAT with the FTA yourself — that's FTA law, not a Lebsloop policy. Lebsloop doesn't monitor your earnings or track that threshold for you; keeping an eye on it is your responsibility as a seller.
