Fees Policy

Every fee, and who pays in each situation

This Fees Policy explains every fee on Lebsloop and exactly what happens to your money when an order is cancelled, returned, or disputed. It forms part of the [Buyer Agreement](buyer-agreement) and the [Seller Agreement](seller-agreement) — capitalised terms have the meaning given there. All amounts are in UAE Dirhams (AED).

1. The idea in one line

Lebsloop is a money-back-guaranteed marketplace. The party at fault bears the cost, and the party who did nothing wrong is made whole. Lebsloop arranges delivery through a courier partner but is not the carrier, so a loss in transit rests with the seller (recoverable from the courier) — never with the buyer, who is always refunded.

2. Buyer fees

VAT is not added or shown today. UAE VAT (5%) will only apply once Lebsloop is VAT-registered, and then only to Lebsloop’s own Buyer-Protection Fee — never to the item price. When VAT applies, prices are shown VAT-inclusive.

3. Seller fees

Today the seller keeps 100% of the item price — Lebsloop’s revenue comes from the buyer-side fees above, not from a cut of the seller’s sale. The only amounts ever taken from a seller are the at-fault costs described in this policy (for example, return shipping or a handling fee when a buyer claim is upheld against the seller). If a seller-side selling fee is introduced in the future, it will be disclosed here and in the earnings preview before it takes effect.

4. What the Buyer-Protection Fee covers

Your Buyer-Protection Fee buys a money-back guarantee. Your card is authorized at checkout and only charged on delivery; the funds are then held in escrow with our licensed payment partner and released to the seller only after delivery and a check window of up to 48 hours passes with no issue. You are entitled to a full refund — including this fee — if your item is:

What it does NOT cover: change of mind, fit, or “it’s not my style.” Once an item is delivered as described, the sale is final. The Buyer-Protection Fee is earned on every completed sale and is non-refundable in any change-of-mind situation.

5. Refunds — what happens to each fee, by stage

Every order moves through three stages, and what happens to your money depends on the stage and on who is at fault.

Stage 1 — Before the courier is dispatched

Stage 2 — After dispatch / in transit

Stage 3 — After delivery

The principle behind the table below: a wronged buyer never loses the fee they paid for protection — but where a seller caused the problem, the fee and costs are billed to that seller, not absorbed by Lebsloop and not kept from the buyer.
Item price
Refunded in full on any cancellation or covered claim; refunded in part on a price-renegotiation. Not refunded when the buyer keeps the item.
Buyer-Protection Fee
Refunded in full before dispatch and on any upheld covered claim (SNAD, counterfeit, damaged, not delivered). Earned and non-refundable on a completed sale and on a change of mind.
Delivery Fee
Refunded before dispatch and where a covered claim is upheld. Borne by whoever causes a cancellation after dispatch.
Authentication Fee (if applicable)
Refunded to the buyer if the item fails authentication or is found counterfeit. The seller bears the authentication cost when their item fails.

6. Delivery, redelivery and return shipping

7. Authentication fees (where applicable)

Authentication is a planned, optional service for selected high-value brands, carried out by an independent third-party check (not a Lebsloop guarantee). When offered, it is paid by the buyer at checkout for the assurance of buying genuine. If the item passes, the fee is earned. If it fails (replica or unidentifiable), the buyer is refunded the Authentication Fee and the cost is charged to the seller. An inconclusive result carries no penalty to either party.

If a buyer disputes authenticity after delivery, the same who-pays rule applies to the dispute check and any physical inspection: if the item is confirmed authentic, the buyer who raised it bears the cost; if it is confirmed counterfeit, the seller bears it (set-off → future payouts → invoice) and the buyer is refunded; if the result is inconclusive, Lebsloop bears it but may recover it from whichever party is found at fault.

8. Condition-discrepancy handling

If an item is authentic but in materially worse condition than described, Lebsloop may either facilitate a price renegotiation (a partial refund to the buyer, who keeps the item) or arrange a return. Where the discrepancy is upheld against the seller, the seller bears any return shipping, recovered by set-off from held funds, future payouts, or direct invoice. There is no additional handling fee at launch; if one is ever introduced, it will be posted here in advance per section 10.

9. How at-fault costs are recovered from a seller

Where this policy makes a seller responsible for a cost (a refunded Buyer-Protection Fee on a seller-fault claim, return shipping, a handling fee, authentication on a failed item, or a missed-pickup re-attempt), Lebsloop recovers it in this order: first by set-off from funds already held for that sale, then from the seller’s future payouts, and finally by direct invoice. Repeated faults may lead to suspension of selling. See the Seller Agreement.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Fees Policy from time to time. Changes are posted here and notified before they take effect, and apply to transactions made after the effective date of the change.
